The neurocosmetics-focused brand was founded a year ago by Cheree Ashley to help women in addiction recovery regain their confidence.

For Osier, great skin isn’t a privilege for fortunate women with good genes. It’s an achievement, no matter one’s life circumstance. Even those in addiction recovery.
Founder Cheree Ashley, a recovering addict and CEO of Avila Heights Recovery and Bright Future Recovery, knows firsthand the havoc addiction can wreak on skin. From rosacea flare-ups triggered by emotional stress to substance use-induced dehydration to clogged pores caused from a lack of cleansing, women in the throes of addiction are doing harm to their bodies and mind, including their skin.
To help women in recovery on their journey back to self-love, Ashley created Osier, a new skincare brand leaning into neurocosmetics. Neurocosmetics is loosely defined as a novel class of topical agents designed to act upon the skin’s neurosensory system and influence psychophysiological responses to enhance dermatologic function and emotional well-being.
“Addiction and prolonged stress can deeply affect the skin, but more than that, it affects the way you care for yourself,” said Ashley. “When someone is struggling, self-care is often one of the first things to go. You stop washing your face, stop looking in the mirror, stop taking those small moments for yourself. I know for me personally, one of the first things that helped me start getting back on track was something as simple as creating a skincare routine and washing my face again. It became a small act of showing up for myself.”
The brand’s name, Osier, refers to the eurasian willow, which grows in wet and volatile habitats and is known for its strong and flexible branches. The shrub’s branches can bend in a blustering storm, and if broken, can regenerate—much like the human spirit.
“What really resonated with me is how resilient willow trees are,” said Ashley. “You can literally break off a branch, place it in the ground and it can grow into an entirely new tree. That felt so connected to the ethos behind Osier and to recovery itself. No matter how hard life gets, there is always an opportunity to start over. Maybe you neglected your skin yesterday, missed the gym or went through a difficult season; that doesn’t define you. There is always a new day ahead of you and another chance to care for yourself again.”
Osier products, she said, were created with formulators who brought that vision to life through Korean skincare innovation, clean ingredient standards and thoughtful textures. The result is products that feel “gentle, restorative and support.”
Resiliency is also built into product names, too. The brand’s Balance Toner is a formula that restores “calm, hydration and harmony” to the skin through its Centella Asiatica Complex of extract, madecassoside, asiaticoside and callus vesicles). The Recovery Ceramide Cream is formulated with essential lipids and amino acids to provide barrier support and “around-the-clock” moisture.
“Names like Comeback Cleanser and Brighter Days are little reminders that no matter where you are in your journey, you can always come back to yourself,” Ashley said.
Formulas contain vitamin C for brightening, ceramides for barrier support, hyaluronic acid for hydration, niacinamide for balance and willow bark for gentle clarification and ingredients like squalane and meadowfoam seed oil to nourish skin. What’s more, the textures, packaging and overall experience create a calming, luxurious and restorative effect that correlates to simple rituals that help people feel emotionally and physically grounded, Ashley said.
Apart from boosting women’s confidence with nourishing topical formulas, for Ashely, it is equally important that Osier nourishes the soul.
The brand’s goal is to partner with treatment facilities and recovery resources that align with its values of healing, compassion and renewal. Osier’s first partner, My Time Recovery, brings products to women in need and aligns with the brand’s mission to understand recovery in a holistic aspect, not just clinical.
Recently, Osier appointed Selling Sunset’s Sandra Vergara as brand ambassador.
“We wanted someone who could represent Osier in a way that felt real, not just beautiful on the outside, but truly connected to the deeper purpose behind the brand,” said Ashley. “Osier is not just about looking good; it’s about feeling connected to yourself again.”
